Rear Disk Upgrade

janschutz

Corn Hauler
I've had this rear section for 5 years, I think this winter is the time to get-r-done! This is for my 68 daily driver (not my wife's 68).

The collection of parts are a 68 housing and a 67 pumpkin (no fill holes on either), 3.55 equaloc center chunk., Lincoln read disk brakes.

Plan is to mock up the disk brakes to see what brackets are needed. the do the welding needed. Need a fill and drain holes for the rear. The sand and powder coat the rear housing before installing. What would y'all do in what order?

I am sure I will be asking lots of questions. It is just too hot in the garage now, so I am thinking of what I want to do when it is cooler.

Wow john. Looks like a real solid unit. Im in a similar situation and will be following your build closely.

I would certainly sand before powdercoating! :roll
