Remembering Uncle Vinny

Hi everyone this is Toni

We lost Uncle Vinny 2 years ago today.

If any of you still have the 2 1/2" key chain flashlight that we brought
to Knotts 2015 for the 13th year get-together, please shine
the light at 6:22 tonight. I'm sure he will smile back at you

How he loved and looked forward to the Knotts gathering
each year. The only yearly trip he made !

I miss him dearly

I was pulling a fence post straight yesterday with the come-along strapped to a palm tree and remembered, with a bit of a smile, that come-along was the solution Vince and I came up with to get the T-bird dragged into the garage in North Carolina with the frozen rear brakes. After, Vince said take it with you so I put it in my checked bag and it flew back to California. Amazing that was over a decade ago, how time flies.

Hope it's OK to share this picture I took at the bash in 2013. I always say people live on in the memories of those who loved them. Or, as Vince would say, bla, bla, bla :D Yeah buddy, we miss you.

We'll be shining a light up.

I will always remember how Vinny hated to go to lunch at Portillos...but he went.

Sharing pics....

Thank you Michael and Pat....nice to see these photos again
Thanks Michael for "shining the light"...it means alot to me.

I remember him and John daily. Always something to remind me of him.

Every time I go to a local event like cars and coffee, I seem to be the Uncle.

Such a good example to follow, big she's to fill. I don't have the light anymore but will go out and shine one anyway!

Love you Toni, I do hope all is well.

Toni:

I think about you and Vinny often. After reading your post, I rummaged around and I found my flashlight from 2015.

Wishing you the best. Fondly, Jeff
