Removing shifter linkage bolts

Ok stupid question time. :roll

Is there a way to remove the threaded bolts in the stock shifter and AOD lever or do I just get a cutoff wheel in there?

Need to install the shifter rod between the stock shifter and the AOD.

Hmmm, How about applying a wrench to the flat spots on the outside nut of the lever? Looks like there's nothing on the inside of the arm to grab.

It's hard to see from your 2nd pic just exactly what is going on, on the other side of the lever. Is it a domed nut? There's nothing to grab via a wrench or whatever?

Could it be a press fit? I removed the bolt from my reverse gear in the toploader by pressing it out.

I just spent a little time under there and it seems to be pushed in through a plastic bushing.

It's really hard to get anything done with a 2 year old running around the garage.

Your car has a trunk right? Just asking :hide

She can talk now. She will tell momma then I'm in the dog house. Or maybe she will kick me out to the garage and I can get something done.

I got them out last night. They were just pressed in with a bushing. I ran the bolt through a crow bar and put the nut on it. They pulled right out.

Thanks guys.
