Repro Frame Rail disappointment

So I just got to looking at the rear frame rails I bought, and I'm not thrilled with them. I'm concerned that although there is a reinforcement at the spring mount, it's attached to the main stamping with only 2 spot welds on each top flange, and the spring mount is not welded to the reinforcement at all. In fact, the mount is welded only to the outside main rail, and then only on about the bottom third of the mount.
Couple pics:
Here you can clearly see a gap at the top of the mount.

And here you can see that there's no weld on the inside at all.

It just seems darned insubstantial at best, and down right dangerous at worst. Out of the 4 catalogs I have handy, only NPD offers a choice with these, and the prices are kinda all over the place. Can anyone confirm if there is a different rail out there that's welded at least fully around the mount? If so where'd you get it? I'll return these and try again if I think there's any point, but if the pieces are all the same, I'll just doctor these up 'til I happy they won't fall apart at the first sign of stress.
Or maybe I'm just being too anal? Any opinions are welcome as I really don't know what any of this ought to look like

Dennis,
I have used those rails before and have had to add extra weld to make myself happy with them. You have the overseas dynacorn type rails there. Send them back and get the american designer pieces. IMHO they are made much better, thicker metal and better welds. This is about the only american designer pieces I would recommend using. I also have an oe rail that I have already cut out you can have for the price of shipping.

Thanks, Pat.
How can I know if I'm ordering A.D. pieces? I don't see any identification in any catalogs.
You have a good original, huh? Which side? I'll get back to you about it, after I check into what it'll cost to get the Taiwanise ones back, and new ones here. I may just weld these up and be done with it. can probably have at least one side done today.
