Reuse Flywheel & Pressure Plate??

Guys, I'm getting ready for my engine swap in the '66. I installed a new Centerforce steel flywheel and DF pressure plate when I did the TKO install last year and have less than 1000 miles on it now. The new engine will have the same 28 oz imbalance as the old. Any reason not to just swap both over to the new engine? I do have one concern though.... Been leaking from the rear mail seal a bit and don't know if any oil has gotten on the pressure plate from it. Doesn't seem like it. No slipping when driving. If I do see something when I disassemble, can I just install a new pressure plate?

Let me know your opinions.

Thanks,

Mark

I would reuse the parts. Clean and install them. If the friction material looks like it has been contaminated, just replace the clutch disk.

Use carb or brake cleaner on the friction surfaces to get the oil or fingerprints off. You'll be amazed and what you get off a new flywheel or clutch, let alone a slightly used one.
