RPM Air Gap

Since I have a 67, my setup probably isn't any help to you. However, I have an air gap rpm on my 351w. Having that manifold on my 351w in the 67 requires a hood scoop.

Hopefully, someone with a 69 will chime in for you.

Edelbrock had some height info on their site. It's not gonna fit under the hood.

is hood clearance your concern? i've fit a victor jr. with a shaker so you should have no problem getting an air gap to fit.

I took these a while back, but this is the difference between the airgap and a victor Jr. The victor Jr has the carb studs.

Are you sure?... looks like the air gap has the carb studs.

Yup. The victor Jr is essentially an airgap as its not a solid manifold and air can pass under the runners.

Gotcha. Having never looked at those manifolds side by side, I was thrown off by the "air gap" in the VicJr.

Per Edelbrock Site:

RPM Air Gap A-5.31", B-6.19"
Victor 5.75"

if you use an average, they are similar. however, because the Victor is level, it will cause the front of the air cleaner to angle up towards the hood. That is the fundamental problem with the victor (the lack of angle). The larger the air cleaner diameter the more interference with a hood. With a drop base air cleaner you should easily get an RPM air gap to fit. With a drop base air cleaner and a 1/4" milled off the front of a victor you could probably get that to fit as well without cutting up a hood.
