Ryan and Steve....

All good over here. We thankfully live on a hill with a creek in our back yard, and the creek is cut very deep, and normally has very little water in it, so it does a great job of draining the water away from us. We lost power a few times yesterday, and I had to run pick up our son at daycare because the water got into the school, but everyone is safe and sound.

Hope all is well over in Kennesaw for Ryan.

Thanks for checking in,

Steve

I am likely the least informed person in mankind, especially when it comes to things such as the weather.

I assume that it is raining in the ATL area?

Isn't this a good thing?

Weren't all of the reservoirs in GA close to empty last year and everyone was rationing water?

Last September Atlanta got 0.75" of rain.
Yesterday parts of town had more than 15"

A lot of flooding.

Thankfully I'm fine. If I don't hear from Ryan by mid afternoon, I'm going to call him.

Steve

Check it out Dave. It's bad stuff down there. Part of downtown is closed from what I see, Six Flags is underwater, etc. It seems to be very heavy on the west side. Keep us informed guys.

Hope you all stay dry, the Nashville area is about 8 or 9" above normal for the year and September has been really wet. Flash floods here but nothing like ATL.

Called Ryan and got voice mail...but he's a pilot so he's frequently out of touch. Left him a message, hopefully he'll show up here soon.

Steve

Just talked to Ryan. All is good except for the road going into his neighborhood is out. He's shopping for a boat to come to MBB. I'm sure he'll chime in here when he gets a minute.

Thanks for the concern guys, and for the calls Duane & Steve. House is okay, just a few subdivision roads MIA.

We actually missed most of the storm as we were in the hospital since Sat with our 1 year old daughter. We just got home a couple hours ago. She is doing okay, but had a few seizures due to high fever, and has a temporary immune system disorder. She should fully recover in a couple months, and should outgrow the disorder. Glad to be home.

Whoa, that's a hell of a lot scarier than a flood. Happy to hear your daughter should be ok. Family is more important than anything else.

Take care.

That's a bunch of bad crap to deal with all at the same time, I hope it all gets better for you.

Thanks for all the kind words.

BTW, here's a pic of the road into my neighborhood.
