Sad news on Xmas eve (another shooting)

Killing kids is down right horrible, but this up there too.

I grew up in West Webster but now live in Ontario NY, but across the street where my mailbox is, is Webster.

My Wife has some family members that are Webster Firefighters, luckily the two of them where not hurt.

My Grandpa was a West Webster Fireman and my Great Grandpa was the West Webster Fire Chief for awhile. Times have sure changed since they were alive.

I can't believe this guy set a fire to just sit and wait for first responders to come, so he could just gun them down.

Our laws need to become more strict, he killed his Grandma in 1980 and only served 17 years for it!
Why did he not do life or face the death penalty?

Anyways, I hope everyone can have a safe holiday season. Please keep the family's that have suffered from this tragic event in your thoughts, especially the family of the two deceased firefighters.

+1 RIP Brothers.

Hum, a Felon with a gun, in NY is illegal! I guess if a criminal wants one he will get it!

In the past week, we've had two cops shot during issuing a warrant. One was killed. She was a mother of 4.
And the piece of crap that shot them was released from the hospital yesterday.

A very tragic situation. The really sad truth is, we don't need tougher laws. Tough laws are already in place.

At the risk of having this thread moved, keep in mind, legislators make those laws, police enforce those laws, and then judges pass sentence on those who've violated the laws. Many prosecutors offices simply plea bargain or decline to prosecute cases. Those that end up at trial and are convicted then face judges that hand down "slap on the wrist" sentences. You tell me where the problem lies (hint: it's in the last two sentences)? Criminals no longer fear the "justice" system!
