Sam Griffith memorial T-shirt &...we forgot to...

KBMWRS

sad
Donator
So today I received a package from Toni (of Vinny (Teebone) and Toni fame). Inside was a USA flag and a Sam Griffith memorial T-shirt. She wrote that she had one for the east coast and this was one for the west coast.

And...Toni had a great suggestion...which we all forgot ourselves. We didn't honor one of our past Mustangers by buying a brick in his name...yes JohnPro. We should have....and I think we still can.

So is anyone with me on this? We can collect and get another brick added to the StangFix bricks already there. Toni says there is room.

My other dilemma is what to do with the shirt? Wear it? Offer it up here for donations for JohnPro brick? Pass it around to others as we meet up? Keep it handy like we have JohnPro on a stick so he is always with us at shows and cruises?

Thoughts?

and a big hug and thank you to Toni (and that guy Vinny). :thum :thum

I'll donate for the brick. Easiest to have someone collect all via a PayPal address as we have done on other "projects".

I suggest you hang onto the shirt and it gets worn by you (or another local) whenever you guys attend a car show event or such.

Keep it and bring to shows as we did with JohnPro. I am sure we can raise money for a John Pro brick without the shirt

This is Toni....

I was going to put the shirt in a frame
so it would be easy to take along to shows...but...
I didn't want to send glass in the mail

Folded it will fit in an approx 12 x 14 frame but that
would show only one side unless you use a double
sided frame to show both sides.

As an aside...we learned at the Memorial Dedication
that June 14th 2014 would have been Sam's 39th Birthday

Thanks Mike for keeping this piece of Stangfix memorbilia
and "not" auctioning it for a John Pro brick....we can certainly
muster up $50 and there were plenty of empty brick slots in the
Stangfix section of the memorial.

Toni, David and I still want to get a Stangfix brick too. Brick sales will stop on Sep 11th at midnight. We will authorize the second shipment of bricks and close down the brick site. So everyone has time to think about what they would like to do. David has since been interviewed by 2 local magazines and has been in touch with Senator Burr pursuing an appointment to the Naval Academy. He hasn't slowed down a bit. His motto now is David for pres 2032.

Can't believe we forgot Johnpro. I can paypal the required funds when needed. Wonder if a new post about this project is a good idea to help others who didn't get in on the first brick production batch, get their names
in this new batch.

Craig

OK...I'll keep the shirt and take it to StangFix gatherings here on the west coast.

Now on to JohnPro brick. I'll make a seperate posting concerning donations and discuss the brick layout.

Mike

This is Toni again

Thanks for not auctioning the shirt...it should stay
with Stangfix and go to events.

You see....I'm not as looney and Vin says I am
I noticed the missing John Pro brick right away

Anyone else we might have forgotten besides Johnpro? Now's the time while another batch is underway.

Vin says Bob Tripp ...67 Deliah...from Huntington Beach
then lived near Jennifer and David 67.

Bob was one of the very early initial members of VMF and
always managed to come to Knotts. Was always at VMF
gatherings at Don Jose's restaurant off Los Palmas

Bob was one of the VERY first fellas on VMF that Vinny met
(Steve Leslie was 1st). Bob was a dentist and died of
an unexpected massive heart attack Nov 28, 2011

He was in his mid 50's. Died in the ambulance
outside his house. Wife's name is: Elise.

Vin recalls Ford Dude's Dad that always came with
him to Knotts. Sorry I don't recall his name.

Just figure out who you all want to add since as
Craig says...this is the last round of bricks.

Of course, this is Toni....you really don't think
that Vin would type all this down now would ya ????

Your posts reminds me of my favorite pic of Dr. Bob (Tripp) is the one with Vinny and Glenn doing the old guys VMF rap. I'm sure that pic is floating around somewhere
