San Diego fires

None that I know of live in the vicinity. Angelo and Katy live further south in San Diego I believe. The rest are much further north in LA area.

Being from Illinois all of my life I cannot imagine a forrest fire burning out of control. I hope they get things under control.

Angelo is in town so to speak. I can't remember his name, but we have one in the fire zone. Haven't heard from any of them. My Mom is in Pt Loma and is fine.

I heard many of the fires are deliberately set.

Stay safe down there, the whole west is a tinder box right now. I think Mother nature wants to weed her garden.

We all have our natural disasters. Earthquakes is one of ours, and fires are the other. We are like into the 3rd year of a drought. So in the areas of chaparral the growth is dried out. Add a Santa Ana wind condition with winds gusting 50+ mph humidly in the single digits and a moron. They added 4 more aircraft bringing the total up to 22 I think. The fire fighters earn their money this time of the year. But the point is that most fires are human caused.

Ha, shake and bake....

Cali's gonna be on fire this year. Can't wait to get set up in Oregon and deal with the rain and be 15 minutes from the racetrack :)

ORetired :)

If I don't burn up here first. Speaking of which, there's a field of dry grass I need to mow tomorrow. Don't want the place to burn down before I can sell it....wait

With all the crazy stuff going on here in Cali (noting that mass shooting in Santa Barbara earlier today), I have a feeling this is going to be the year of arson. It's been awhile since we had a serious arson year. Add in lightning strikes from the crazy weather we've been having and yikes...
