San Jose..KFOX....gone?

I was in the car driving home yesterday afternoon and listening to the radio. Surfing stations I listend to 98.5 KFOX a while then on to another station, then back to KFOX and it was gone. Silent. Has been since.

Is it off the air?

Sorry to the rest of the SFers here but I've searched the web and news and found nothing.

I just went to their web site and hit the "Listen" button and I heard what sounded like a live broadcast including the traffic report. Maybe your radio took a dump??
 
Wow...I guess I am BANNED.....

My car was tuned to 98.5 and nothing. I tried at home during the night on three different radios and all had nothing. Called the station and they said there was no problems, they are on the air. weird.......I guess I am banned.
 
I'd hate to see KFOX go, because they broadcast all the Sharks hockey games!!!

You must have been selectively banned.
 
wow now something like this I'd HAVE to do some research. There's gotta be something weird going on, because this currently defies logic. That NONE of your radios can hear it?

How far did you drive with your car? I'm wondering if someone in your area is being a prig and intentionally blocking the signal.

Yeah now I'm thinking I'm in a Twilight Zone episode.
I was in San Jose on 101 driving south. Always could receive before and the car radio is digital...tuned correctly. So is my Bose FM at home. Tried the clock radio next to the bed too....nada. This was last night. I haven't checked today.
 
Are there any black helicopters flying over your house? Van down the street with blacked out windows and a satellite dish on the roof?

So I wasn't banned or crazy....well I've been both but I degress.......

I contacted the morning DJ..Greg Kihn and he looked further into it because he heard the same from a few listeners. Got another response from the Program Director:

"We lost both our Morgan Hill and Pleasanton boosters during yesterday's storm. It's been fixed."

I'm not going nuts :vic.
