Sanborn's CCM's (crusty cleveland manifolds) all spruced up, ready for install

I know some might think I'm crazy but for my application and demands on the motor, I decided to stay with the stock cleveland manifolds that Dave Sanborn gave me.

My engine builder made me an off I could not refuse in opening up the exit hole from 2" to 2-5/16" and then I had them ceramic coated at Sanderson's Headers locally for $120. I think I'm going to enjoy this application and if I hate it I can alway swap them out for some pricey FPA's.

What was nice was that the manifolds were so flat (within .002") that I did not have to have them machined.

Dave, Again thanks for these pups.

I dig 'um!

Your black block, oil pan and exhaust manifolds look pretty damn mean.

What valve covers on going on that beast?

Big J (why are you called that?) :lol

yes that is what is called flat black, though it looks more like a satin dark dark grey in person.

I heard I'm getting this for Xmas

They will for sure match all the black and silver (Raider colors) engine components. Have a black MSD dizzy cap and painted the MSD box black as well.

The manifolds cleaned up real nice Craig and I'm glad I found a good home for them. They'd been stored in an old box for over 10 years and I knew they'd come in handy some day.

That thing sure does look mean. What a good lookin job, and Dave, your the epitome of the Mustang brotherhood. Hooking up Craig with those mannies was a great gesture.

Sorry to announce that apparently these manifolds came off a car with an automatic creating havok between the driver's manifold and the Zbar. Thus odds are I might not be able to use them unless I do some serious Zbar modifying. I have created a new post in the General Mustang board:
