Sanden Conversion A/C belt length needed

I have all the hardware installed for my A/C now. I bought the right belt for a factory A/C installation, but it is too short. The belt I have I believe is 54 3/4 inch. Does anyone know the right length for a Sanden pump converted A/C 65/289 Mustang?

Take a rope and use it to mock up the belt length. Then measure that rope and bring that measurement along with your current belt into a parts store and they will hook you up. The belt lengths are stamped on the belts

I measured the length needed. It was about 2" longer. I bought a 1/2" x 56 inch belt and it fit good.
