Saw a tornado earlier.

On our way home from a wedding reception we got caught in a storm that produced a tornado that hit a couple of small towns near us pretty hard --so far no word of injuries, a small movie theatre in Elmwood, Ill. was hit hard with people inside, we were close enough to see corn stubble pulled from the field by the tornado as it left town, we had to backtrack some to get home, we saw a house without a roof along the way, we were spared. (probably because all of my good living!)--I hope no one was injured bad, homes and buildings can be replaced.--The wife was driving because I had 4 beers and the grandaughter was with us, I had the wife pull over and take a pic with my phone---I just cancelled my texting/messaging when I got my new phone so no pics to post---(I was tired of the texts at work)

Glad everything is ok. Sounds like you need a memory card for your phone, so you can post those pictures.

Tornadoes are very scary things. I'm glad you are safe, and hope the damage, injury, and most important the deaths were at a minimal.

Back in college a couple small tornados went through the area. And being dumb college students we would try and catch up with 'em. Lucky for us, we never did. All we saw was a couple of camper tipped over.

There have been pictures of Elmwood on CNN this morning, the old downtown area looks like a mess, the real miracle is the movie theatre not having anyone killed inside. We have a couple of micro cards for the phones, just haven't put one in my new phone---my bad---

It must have been a mean night for tornadoes. My son called this morning to say they got hit about 2:30 am. Trees and power lines down. He had a tree fall across the roof and opened up his roof, but all are ok. His area has alot of downed trees and alot of houses damaged. Oh, this happened in Monroe , Mi.
