Saw George Thorogood and the Destroyers last night...

...he and the band have still got it. A recommended show, music was tight and his voice is still good. Played all the hits and on-stage antics. "Move it on over", and "I drink alone" were particularly good live.

He was here in Nashville last week at the Wildhorse Saloon, wanted to go but found out a couple days before the show and didn't want to end up on the 3rd floor balcony...didn't want to 'drink alone' and knew the wife wouldn't go if she couldn't sit.
I'll have to bookmark his show site to see when he's near again. I haven't seen him since ~'85 when he opened for the Stones in N.O., ended up buying his album after that and have his CD in the car for long trips.

I've never seen him in concert but I love his style. I have tons of CD's and live shows recorded. My iTunes are loaded with his stuff now days!

I saw him and his band a few years ago at the Santa Barbara County Bowl (300 seat outdoor venue) with BB King and Kim Wilson's band at tha time. It was an amazing show. When George came on stage he said 'Some's going to get arrested. Let's go!' and started playing.....

He is a good entertainer!
