...in Las Vegas and they are as musically tight as ever. :thu
The real surprise was the amount of solo work they played from Don Henley (Boys of Summer, Dirty Laundry), Glen Frey (You Belong to the City), and Joe Walsh (Life's Been Good, Rocky Mountain Way). They played for almost 2 1/2 hours, and returned for an encore with "Take it Easy", "Rocky Mountain Way", and finished with "Desperado".
The only disappointment for me was they didn't play "One of These Nights, or "Best of My Love", but I think that was more a function of the extensive catalog of music they had, and not wanting to play for 3 hours straight.
It sure brought into perspective the crap that's being pushed as "music" these days; no autotune, no synthesised crap, no "talking at me" rap; just 4 guys that can sing, play real instruments, and great harmonies.
Glad I went to see them, well worth the time!
