Scored some great magazines

Went antiquing in Hurricane today. They have a huge collection of old Mechanix Illustrated. I got one with an add in it for my 65 and a review of the AC Cobra, Shelby GT 350 and the Vette.

Way cool.

The second one has a write up for the Mustang II experimental car.

Issues are 2/64 and 6/65.

Cost $1.00 each.

I may go back and buy some more for the WE gift exchange!

Very cool. I love looking at old magazines.
I few years ago I bought a hot rod issue from 1961 that had coverage of the 61 nhra nationals. It had my dads name listed in it from his win there. That was my best find.

I went back today and bought the entire box. Must be close to 100 magazines from 1964 to 1974.

Guess what will be in the WE gift this year.

So far looked for about 1/2 hour found four Mustang related articles. One for the new 64 vert model at a cost of $3300.

I will post some pics tomorrow. I am so stoked I can't sleep....I've spent a couple hours now going through them and reading loads of stuff from 1964-1974....

The unleaded gas article was a hoot. I've found some plans for some cool stuff like a simple carb you can make yourself and a dual piston engine that would be cool for a hybrid car, and it seems that everything we bitch about now, they bitched about then too. \

The only thing that seems to have changed is there is a couple zeros added to the price of stuff.
