Scott Drake Variable Wiper control

kb3

Well-Known Member
I installed a Scott Drake variable wiper control for a 1 speed wiper motor in the 65. I finally had a chance to try it out. It is not acting right. It may be the control, my wiring or the motor as all has been installed recently. The motor will turn on, the wiper move to the top and then stop. Then after a delay they will move back to the "park" position. The wipers will not make a full up and down swipe. Any ideas?

Verify the wiring....did the wipers work with the regular switch........return it for a replacement......

I used a wiring diagram that Mid offered up. As for working before, I never had the regular switch, a wiper motor or wiring in the car when I bought it. I may have to purchase a replacement single speed switch to test your theory though. Thanks
