Second guessing wheel size choice

I've decided to fo with the Rev Classic 100, in polished chrome. It the same wheel everyone has on ebay, and other places. It's sold as a "American racing Licensed" wheel. I talked to my buddy in Houston that I have a account with, and he said there have been no issue with this wheel and they are a great bang for the buck. Search 100P-7806500 and you will find it all day long.

So here is the question:
It comes in two sizes Iam looking at:
17x7 4"BS
17x8 4.5" BS

I was all set to get a set of four 17x8 4.5", but now Iam second guessing my self, and think I need the 17x7 on the front.

My car is the 1967 vert, with the CSRP disc swap. I've yet to do anything with the suspension yet, but plan to do the typical shelby drop and 620 set up.

There are only 26 sets of these left in the country, so I would like to order them today. If I wait - It will be about 3 month for the next container from over seas.

Thanks!!! -Mark

It seems to me that a lot of folks use the 17x8 Ford bullit rims with 5.72 back spacing along with 1" spacers up front. That would essentially be the same as a 17x8 with 4.72 back spacing. With a 4.5 backspace, you will be just under 1/4" closer to the fender lip than you would with the 5.72 b/s wheels and a 1" spacer. The 17x7 doesn't appear to be an issue, I just don't know if that .220" less backspace will cause interference on your fenders... I guess I've offered nothing but to reassure you that I would second guess it too.

I usually don't like this much bling, but on a white car, I think it's going to be nice. Worst thing is I paint them.

IIRC I have 4 17 X 8 with 4.25 B.S. 245/45/17 tires. No issues.
