finishing up the build on my wifes 2.8 V/6, after priming the oil pump I proceeded to install the new remanufactured motorcraft distributor, it wouldn't sit down in the hole but the gears where mated as I could not turn the rotor, so I thought I would turn the crank a little to help pull it down, didn't work and actually broke a couple of teeth off the dizzy and took 3/4's of a tooth off the cam, so I knocked the gear off the dizzy and removed the shaft, it turns out the actual shaft of the dizzy wont fit into the oil pump channel.. argh
