Serpentine Pulley

Can I get a serpentine pulley from a junk car for the harmonic balancer on a 289? What should I look for?

I did! I used a late model complete serpentine set up for my 351W conversion. I bought from Summit a reverse flow water pump, timing cover, AC bracket and correct harmonic balancer. I used off the donor car: pulley's, ac compressor, power steering pump and alternator.

BTW, all the above parts came off a late model Mustang 5.0, that is why I had to buy the ac bracket for a 351W. Everything else fit the 351W from the 5.0

IIRC the pulley on the 289 mounts with 3 bolts and the 5.0 pulley(stock) mounts with 4 bolts. He may have to buy an aftermarket pulley to bolt up to the 289 balancer.

You are correct!

I found a water pump pulley from a 1990 Crown Victoria, my question is, if I get a new harmonic balancer ( which I need) will the serp pulley work from a 5.0 liter?
