Setting up a new plasma today---

I know, old technology, but after reading a lot on them in the last week or so I went ahead with the panasonic vierra tc p50s2 plasma-(50in.), the plasma got a lot of bad press when they first came onto the market, they are supposed to be a lot better now, the price is dropped a lot because of the new led/lcd's coming on strong. Most of the resolution numbers can only be reached with blu-ray players, I do not need 3d, etc. Sears had them for 999. gave you a panasonic blu-ray player with it and 36 months no interest--(intrest goes on if you miss a payment) --I have done the long term no interest thing before and the accountant wife makes sure payment is there on time!--time to finish hooking it up, the stand we got was a pain in the a$$ for sure.

I have a 65" Panasonic plasma and love it. Although the plasma market is waning, the purists and high enders will keep it alive.

I like mine...

I'd consider buying a new TV as long as there was something worth watching...
