I met a local gentleman who is interested in storing his 41 Vert at my warehouse for awhile, but odds are he is going to sell it. I have offered to help obtain an estimate and am wondering what website anyone might suggest I explore to help get an rough estimate.

Here's a link to one, not saying his is near this condition but to my eye's it might be $45k-$60k.

Any suggestions, would be greatly appreciated.

Cool car! I would think one of the classic insurance companies could put him, or you in contact with an appraiser to get a decent estimate on it. Do any of bigger car auctions come through the bay area? Maybe drive it down to pebble beach with a for sale sign...

Re: 1941 Lincoln Continental Convertible value

Is it a Mark 1? If so, they are considered the cream of the crop of vintage Lincolns, and their value is fairly high.

While waiting for an appraiser, you might want to look at Hemmings Motor News for listings.

Couple of nice non verts on e-bay now for high 30's---60's probably a close guestimate without seeing it, there is a neat 41 zephyr on e-bay also---you would look good in that 41 vert Craig, get you a driving Miss Daisy type hat!

Except that he would want to be Miss Daisy.

Craig have you tried the Haggerty's website (yes, the insurance folks)? They have a tab to help calculate car values that's pretty handy. It'll get you in the ballpark. I've ran a few cars through it and they came out pretty close to current market prices.

p.s. You can use it five times before it requires you register (which is free anyhow).

I use Hagerty for 3 of my rigs. Maybe I should check out their site that I am helping finance.

Thanks all for the advice.

Awww. Just tried Hagerty's site but the oldest they go to is 1946. Need to keep looking around.

Blackhawk is also an idea. Thanks

Sweeet! Last month I missed out on a deal for a '29 Model A closed cab pickup. Since I talked SWMBO into another project (which COULDN'T be a Mustang under any circumstances!), and she agreed on the pick up but then the price went too high. I then found another future project a week or so ago that I briefly considered...a '37 four door Lincoln Zephyr V12. The price was right but I decided I hold on to my ace to play for just the right car! :roll
