Shock Tower reinforcement

Something like this along with seam welding the area is what we did. Seam welding from the seats forward isn't a bad idea. I added roll bar gussets in the corners around the shock towers (engine side), lower arm mounting point, strut rod mounting point and sway bar brackets.

Wish I could find pictures to the mods that dustyrelics did to that last clone he built. He did some serious mods to beef up the car.
 
I used the Pro-Motorsports (now Dr Gas) shock tower reinforcement kit, but the kit is kinda pricy for what you get (~$200).

You can see the plate that wraps around the front of the shock tower here. There's a matching plate on the back side, too.

I don't have an image of the piece that is welded vertically where the UCA bolts, but in this image you can see those pieces at the top of the picture.
