Should I reskin

The drivers door on my Son's 69 was hit perty good in an accident. Kids :po as was the fender.

The fender will not hold shape after rying to bang it out. I'm not a body man, but guessing best to get a replacement. The car is a daily driver and I figure this is not going to be his last wreck :$$$

The door has some rust throughs on the lower edge so I'm figuring on reskinning it.

Questions.
Without seeing the parts would you replace the fender and how difficult is reskining the door?

Where is the best place to get or is there a bad place to get the parts? NPDs prices are a bit high on these parts, but Verginia Mustang and Mustangs Unlimited look OK.

Thanks Y'all

Didn't Sluggo just finish re-skinning the doors on the Boss car?

Patience, Sluggo will have good input.

If the skin of the door has "rust-through"..... are you positive that the door's shell is A-OK?

My thoughts exactly. Ask me how I know...

If the shell is ok, reskinning is your cheapest option.

I would try to find a local supplier to avoid shipping damage. Always nice to inspect the part before buying it.

If you in fact decide to skin the doors, I can contribute some insight on how to do it.
