Snow in New Harmony, UT

guruatbol

Always on vacation!
I was told that it didn't happen without pics.

So the snow that gave me a wet willy by Mother Nature is real! Here are the pics.
I had to wipe the dish out. I was told that if you spray PAM on it the snow will not stick. Spray it once a year. So I did that this time.

This is of the patio which is covers and 65 feet long. It was clear an hour ago when it had been snowing for hours.

I'm sure it takes a lot of work to live in a region with snow. I must admit though, the snow really looks pretty. Would have never thought of PAM but it makes total sense.

+1

Well the pam worked for a little while. It is starting to stick now.

gonna have to go out and wipe it down again.

We don't get enough snow to worry about most years. This is the third storm CA has sent us and we have maybe 8" of total snow. It was all melted and gone when this storm started as rain. Now I am told this is the worst of it and it will likely melt away by middle of next week.

It doesn't matter though as I am going to Canada next week for a Month.

You can keep that crap, me.....I'm tired of shoveling and plowing the white virus. We still have big drifts from the snow before Christmas, it's slowly melting, but not fast enough. This is the most snow we've had in a long time and they're saying we will get another round in Feb.

+1 the white crap is worthless.

Neat.....yeah I need to VISIT that stuff and slide down a 3,000 foot mountain with planks on my feet. Of course then I go home where the snow is warmer and runs down the drain. :)

It is currently snowing in the mountains around us, and we got about 2-3 inches.

I can post a laugh when you are sitting in traffic for hours because it is so crowded there and my idea os traffic is a tracktor or dog is out on the road.

Oh, my closest neighbor is 700 feet away! My doorbell rings only when I am expecting people over. In four years I have heard it maybe a dozen times. Nice and quiet, no helicopters hoovering overhead looking for Julio or Shazeem who just stuck up the local shop and rob!

Nice and quiet. When I get tired of it, I just get a bus and drive some people around and get it out of my system.

When I want to slide down the mountain, like today, I just get the sled out of the garage and slide down my driveway or the hill on the south side of my property. When I want to shoot my shotgun, I go in the back and have at it.

So if I could find a smiley sticking it's tongue out at you I would use it here.

I hear ya Mel, my closet neighbor is a mile away in any direction! shoot, scream, rev the car.....there's no one to complain.

Here's a couple pics from my office window looking south & west. The snow that's left was from monster drifts!

We've had about half of our average yearly rainfall between yesterday & today here in Las Vegas. If it were about 5 degrees cooler it'd be snowing! The mountain are covered with snow.

We are just 2 hours North of Vegas. I am ok with the snow as long as I can sit around the house, eat home made clam chowder, grilled cheese sandwiches, watch the fire and just relax. Which is exactly what I am doing!

So since it has been snowing since 1PM and it snowed most of the night we have the white stuff all over. I went out and cleaned off the dish antenna and noticed the snow is very wet and slushy under....Means ice tonight and if it warms up into the 40s tomorrow which it is supposed to, it will all melt away!

Now that being said, I broke out the gallon bottle of Vodka and the vanilla beans and made vanilla, cleaned the house, watched TV, made some business calls and actually made some money today. So to all you schmoes that have to drive to work in the messy rain around all those crazy SOBs in Cali, I am so sad for you! I haven't even started my truck in three days.

Nah....
