During the burglary, the victim had a laptop computer stolen along with her Wachovia credit card, rings, DVDs and cash, according to an Okaloosa County Sheriff’s report.
The victim also told deputies that four charges had been made to her account from Walmart.com.
Deputies received the shipping information from Walmart.com as being “Robinson Charles, Roby’s Drive, Mary Esther. Deputies found that one other address was being sent fraudulent merchandise in North Carolina.
Deputies got in touch with the residents of the North Carolina home and asked if they knew anyone in the northwest Florida area. The woman stated that her husband, Chaz C. Ivery, lived in Mary Esther.
The woman stated that her husband said he would be sending her some gift cards, but that she had not received any yet.
Deputies also found that Ivery had pawned a laptop computer that had been sold and two rings that were still in the shop’s possession and were later identified as the victim’s.
The pawn shop also had a fingerprint of Ivery from the transaction of goods Ivery had sold.
Ivery was arrested on Sept. 15 for fraudulent use of credit card, dealing in stolen property and false verification of ownership to pawn broker.
