So, what is everyone doing for New years?

Sounds like a bunch a yoose guys need to be in an assisted living center.....just say'n :burn

We're not going to do much. An early dinner with friends, and we'll probably stop by a party to see the ball drop in NYC Times Square. I'm more inclined to make it a early night and head home with the mrs and crack open a special private reserve champaign for our own "celebration". As Tepper said, the local cops aggressively look for DUI offenders in the bay area. A DUI is NOT my way of bringing in the new year!

I hope everyone has a fun and safe New Year's Eve. Cheers!

I'd bet if someone opened a taxi-cab business in California they'd make a killing! From what I'm reading, the people out there don't go out drinking because they don't want to drive drunk. Fine...... but if there was a company you could call that would ferry you and your drinking party from venue to venue.... it would be pure genius and likely profitable.

They could even paint the vehicles GO so they could be seen/recognized by any/all....

LOL... you're absolutely right!

Cabs cost a fortune here (cab from SF to my house near Oakland (~20 miles) costs about $50), and they are actually hard to come by when you are not actually in city... especially on New Year's Eve.

If I were inclined to go big on a New Year's Eve, I'd probably just rent a limo.

Here's an old trick of mine that I haven't used in a while, but works every time.

For a free ride from ANYWHERE to ANYWHERE on New Years Eve, especially a bar....... grab the lampshade off an old lamp, put it on your head and start walking. Guaranteed ride ANYWHERE on New Years Eve.

First of all... Happy New Years eve y'all!! Have a safe night!

I'm heading out to Brazoria County to spend time with my favorite D'Amore... :cry
I'm forcing myself to have fun tonight.. no matter what!!

You do know this is a forum full of car guys, right? Other than Craig (#1), who else knows what a D'amore is? :beat

Shari and I were married 8 years ago today. My Mom and Dad were married on new years eve, I always thought that was cool so we did it too.

We did our annual trek to the Lone Cypress where we got hitched, took the kids out for lunch and plan on an early night. We watch the ball drip in NY at 9pm our time and go to bed. Yep, we are boring but safe.

Well...the boys and I were playing Xbox this evening then watching Weird Al videos on youtube for a while because they had never heard of him. After that I pulled my starter.

There are enough fireworks in the neighborhood tonight that I was going to take care of a possum with my .22 if I saw him this evening but no luck on that front.

At least I won't sleep half the day tomorrow due to a serious hangover like back in my wild / crazy days, LOL!

Been watching the Three Stooges and going to go rapid fire the Benelli Auto Pump 12g at midnight!
