Started TIG welding last year. Love it and find it easier than others to get a good weld. Then again, I learned to weld gas welding, and the melt on TIG is similar. But it is MUCH slower than MIG or stick.

Forgot to add - my welds don't look that good yet, but they are strong as hell. Brought some to work when the cert guy was here, and they met all the strength specs.

Those are some great lookin' welds!! Welding is definitely an art. And I am not an artist.

But I can sure grind down one of my turkey turd welds to make look real pretty!!! :craz

You never really want to grind down structural type welds though. Like on my rat frame - I really didn't dress any of the welds.

But, for example, on that rear decorative cross member I did - but I REALLY burned that sh*t in super hot and deep. So I am not real concerned about it.

And in all actuality - those TIG welds above are super nice. I would love to try my hand at it someday.

If only I was rich instead of so good looking... :po

Andre may be a King of prose, but being observant is not one of his attributes.

I bought the Rod and Customs front coilover system and the welds on their crossmember were simply amazing.....

The MIG welds to the frame rail were done by our welder/fabricator but the rest of the crossmember is Rod and Customes work....very pretty.....
