Sounds like a few you see on Craigs List.

Sounds like things are working out pretty good Rod. I know you don't miss climbing into that cold-ass mixer anymore. This is not the time of year for that is it?

Rod: you need to be careful selling so many cars. They may take away your salary and put you totally on commission....

The weather this year is mild so far so I would have been likely still running, lets see--do I miss the frozen pipes?-no, the burning cold hands?-no, the wet cold feet?no, the finishing in the dark?, no, the walking around in the mud so heavy it exhausts you? no. The pay is less if I don't sell but now I am mainly indoors at a desk wearing dockers and company logo dress shirts-no ties- I think I am handling the transition well!

Sounds like you really like the new career! Just remember, money's not everything.

I told the manager the day I started I was doing this because it was a personal challenge (I always thought I would like selling cars) To be 100% honest I never took this job for the money, we were making ends meet off the wifes income and I took some settlement money out of the bank when needed, I probably could make it to 62 when I can draw my teamster pension (if it still exists) and s.s. I really needed to get off my ass and do something, there were days when I never left the house other than to get the mail! I thought it would be great doing nothing but it wasn't. I am too much of an underachiever--I need a push once in a while.

Amen! You said a mouth full! I feel the very same! Although, now that I am working, I kinda wish I could not work!

You know we are never happy...I would like to own my own business again though, I do miss that, just can't figure out what to open.

Maybe I could move to Colorado and start a pot farm?

I delivered a near new stx, sold a new $37,800 Taurus, (picking up Monday after paint sealant) and a guy said he will be in tues to decide on a eco boost or 302-- 2013 f150---He has been in twice--crazy thing--he bought a 91 truck from the dealership I worked at then--I undercoated and prepped his truck then.
The dealership sold 6 total today!

Year end sales activity for sure. Grab 'em while you can. Things will slow up soon...other than 4x4 sales, I would wager.

It was crazy saturday--4x4 trucks are their bread and butter for sure--tiny dealership stocking near 30 f series 4x4's - all super or crew cabs.
