Johnpro's 1969 Sportsroof, known as "Scary," is being offered for sale. 408 roller motor (stroked from 351w); Tremec TKO600 5-speed; Detroit Locker 9" Rear w/3.89 gears. The exterior is Silver Frost and the interior is black. Originally a 302, C4, built in San Jose, with turn signal hood scoop and sport mirrors. The car has always been in CA, with a solid body and undercarriage, and no known rust. This car is definitely a driver; it runs strong and picks up quickly. It’s complete and ready to drive to the local show or on a road trip. Asking $25k. PM me or email (billf62NO-SPAM@gmail.com) if you're interested.

• Body: There are a couple of small dings.
• Front valance has slight damage at center, upper area where it's creased, slight "split" in the metal
• Minor electrical:
o Courtesy lights aren't coming on when door opened. Passenger electric window switch doesn't work in the "up" direction.
o Intermittent horns
o Remote keyless entry works inconsistently
• Passenger side window doesn't come up fully. Appears to need adjustment
• Trap door speaker housing: This aftermarket part appears to have distorted and blistered in several places at the top.
• Lower outside dash covers missing
• Brake release pedal cover missing (to allow clearance for kickpanel speakers)
• Typical dash pad cracking issue, so dash pad cover has been installed.

Man, I'd trade my fastback for it in a heartbeat. I forgot how nice of a car that was. Hope the new owner takes care of it.

Re: FS: "Scary" - '69 SportsRoof

Wow, If we hadn't just had a baby..............

Maybe I could sell a kidney or something.

Re: FS: "Scary" - '69 SportsRoof

Too late, common sense took over. I paid off another big balance on a credit card. If all goes well, I'll pay off the last one tomorrow.

I guess debt free is the best thing. I am just going to have to make Blue a car John would be proud of. It does have his hood on it.

Scary has been sold to a broker in the Bay Area, who has a buyer ready and waiting overseas.

Sad. Scary is leaving the country.
Did the sale include a stangfix membership so we can have visitation rights.
