Sold the Mustang

Hey all,
Just wanted to check in with all you guys. As the title says the mustang is gone. Most people were shocked that I came to this decision but there were several factors which is why it made sense for me.

The car was too precious for me. Sure, I could've cared less but the car was worth too much. The car was more or a show car than a driver and for a guy that doesn't like car shows it was pointless for me. The market is good for these cars over here right now so it made financial sense for me to sell.

So the car is gone....I bought a C63 AMG Mercedes for the summer, I am leaving my job next week with no job to go to and I have never been as happy. I am not sure what the plan is yet but I am cool with that. Either way I am taking the summer off. I have a 3 week road trip planned for next month, taking in a big chunk of Europe then I want to tick some things off the bucket list before getting back on the horse later in the year.....

I know I will have another car project soon but not sure yet what it will be. I like the idea of an original paint 66 coupe sleeper with 600-700bhp hidden underneath it.

So i take a bow and thank all of you for the endless help, encouragement and am thankful of the experience and the friends that I made throughout the project. It was some trip from meeting up with Duane and Dave S to rescue my car, Meeting up with all you guys in SF and Mike visiting here in Ireland.

I will try to check in from time to time but if anyone ever wants to get in touch email me on

There is a sickness that's now going around the world. Sorry to see the car go Johnny.

Holy sheepshit! While I understand, I'm shocked and saddened. I'm amazed every time I see your progress with all the difficulties you endured with your location and think about the magic you made in that garage building that beautiful car. Be proud and I can't wait to see what's next

Johnny,
Enjoy life. It's way too short. Let's get a couple VW Westfalia campers and meet in Alaska. Oops already got my Westy, last week. Enjoy.

I can't believe it. This mustang selling disease must be stopped. It's spreading dangerously.

Congrats on the sale and keep us posted on the new project.
