Somber cruise-in

Tonight we went to a late season quickly planned cruise in at a local burger joint.
It was dark and cold but a lot of good people showed up to contribute to a good cause.
A local cruiser, owns a gorgeous modified '68 Cougar, came home from work a few days ago and found his 17 year old daughter had taken her own life.

The cruisers, all brands of car guys/gals, donated and raised nearly $4000 tonight to help with funeral expenses.

Such a sad, sad unexpected tragedy. But what wonderful support from the gearheads.

I hate to hear that, pressure on our youngins is high. I knew a kid in HS who took his life when his GF broke up with him. At the time it seams all is lost, I don't know what I'd do if one of mine did that. Glad the gearheads did what they could.

Very sorry to hear about this. I must say that locally we have a high school which 4 of its students have takened their lives standing in front of commuter trains near the school over the past 10+ months. We are all very puzzled as to why live seems to be so bad for them that they must end it this way.

Joyce,
Hope your friend can mend his wounds soon.

Craig
