Small world....my father worked at Lockheed (but in consumer orbitals not military)....they were the reason I lived in the bay area for a short time. Used to drive past the blue cube on occasion. He still contracts on and off with them from his retirement in PA

Very neat. I have always been fascinated watching rockets blast off, I am old enough to slightly remember the Mercury stuff but Apollo was my era, we were glued to the tv in 1969.

So it is true...you are a space cadet! I knew it all along!

I got home just in time to grab a cold one, turn on the tube and see it lift off and then step out on the back porch and watch it head into space. :thu

Cube is closed now. All that sat work is in Colorado Springs now.

My mom and stepdad both worked for Lockheed and never did discuss details about what they did. Mom worked there since the 50's, for 40 years I think. Mom's brother (crazy uncle Bob) worked for Skunk Works in Palmdale.

So we sent some beans into space. :wtf You said that you were a bean counter. :hs

I've been in the defense industry all my career. Your job is only as good as the contract you're on.....this one should take me to retirement. :thu
