Someone remind me

Can I install shocks after the a-arms and springs are in place or do I need to install it all at once? I've got everything else ready to go back together and I need to get the car back on wheels which can in theory be done this week and long as I can put the shocks in later. For the life of me I just can't remember but I think I should be able to drop them in from the top of the tower. I need to save a few pennies before purchasing shocks otherwise I'd just get them now.

Bolt the upper control arms on, put the spring on and the shocks go through the top. If you aren't driving the car you could wait on the shocks.
