Sound deadening material installed

Yes, I have installed maybe 95% of Second Skin's Damplifier Pro material (for vibration caused noises as well as heat) into Shag with another 5% still due. Single layer only because I will be installing luxury liner pro on top, right before carpet is installed which is a barrier for again vibration but more importantly for exhaust and engine noise.

Good googily moogily, Craig. That's going to sound...er...not sound niiiice.

Craig do you have an estimate of how much weight the sound deadening material added to Shag? Just wondering is all. But that does look sweet.

VERY nice Craig!!! Are you going to do the doors as well I assume? Any special treatments at the shifter to minimize noise?

Sorry I didn't elaborate the doors, rear quarters nor rear wheel well areas. I have already applied Second Skin's Spectrum http://www.secondskinaudio.com/store.php?category=119 which is a roll on material for area which is hard to apply sheet material. I rolled on and then brushed it out. This material has been applied to both doors (inside of exterior skin), Rear quarters as seen below. I also coated the complete rear wheel wells. Since the material drys in a gray color, I then sprayed the wheel wells black.

Wow, Craig, very neat and tidy work. I used raammat bxt but wasn't as neat. I figured covering every square inch was overkill as it was based on the science of panel dampening, so I was ok leaving gaps less than an inch or so between sheets if it was convenient. Also like the idea of the roll/brush on stuff. I wasted a lot of time fitting the mat material in the doors and quarters.

For a final touch, put the Spectrum on the underside of the floor pans for the ultimate quiet. That'll be three different types of acoustical barriers. :ecit
