Spark plug wire issue

What would cause the wire to shoot off the spark plug?

I was trying to start Gert today (was trying to check tail lights) and she acted like she didn't want to start, which really isn't all that unusual and sometimes takes a bit to warm up and start. Well I heard a pretty loud snap noise and I shut her off immediately. I looked under the hood and noticed the #1 wire was off and laying on the intake and the sleeve was pulled down about an inch or two exposing the metal.

Check the plug to see if it's tight or loose. As a WAG, if it loosened, I assume the ignition explosion could come back up the threads and possibly dislodge the wire?

From what I'm reading, that is a possibility. If the plug is loose or the the boot wasn't pushed all the way on the plug, the compression can blow it off the plug. Since the mechanics were messing down in that area when messing with the UCA bolts during alignment, they might have accidentally hit the boot loosening it some and after the drive home it wiggled off more and more and when I tried to start it, the vibrating motor finally made it pop off.

Sounds reasonable I guess :shrug
