Spark plugs

Hi All: I have a stock "A" code, auto, /66 coupe,. My spark plugs are Motorcraft BSF 42c and the car runs good. However the plugs are 12+ years old and I would like to change to platinum if possible. The Napa site shows a plug cross reference to Autolite double platinum #APP45. Good idea? or stick with the factory plugs?. Thanks in advance. Mark

The stock plugs lasted 12 years. Save yourself some dough and buy another set. Platinums are a waste of money in you application IMO.

Stick with the stock plugs . Yes platinum plugs do last longer , but they also take more "power" to make the spark .

Thanks to all for your replies. I guess you can't argue with factory plugs (and longevity)... Mark

Yep....12 years sitting it the garage is darn good for plugs........
