I had a 7 year old exmark quest (24 horse 52 in deck) that I traded in on this model this morning--do I need this kind of mower?--not really--do I like spinning around on a zero turn--yessir! It is a 60 in deck with a 26 hp kohler, I was going to get another 52 in when I had him figure a 60 in, ---8 inches bigger deck ( I asked the wife if size really mattered), moves up to next size bigger hydrostat motors, full suspension seat, better deck, it was $360 more than the 54in--not that much more when you are talking about a near 8 grand mower.

Actually in the exmark line that is lower end--big pro models are 15 plus, --when I traded in my mower and got the rebate applied, plus some of the mark up knocked off I paid a bit over 4 grand--I am going to pay some off monthly at 0 percent interest so I don't rob the savings account---this should be a 10 year mower easily.

Mine is not zero turn but the lawn tractor works just fine! cost me $1000 8 years ago.

Trans has 2-3 more seasons on it as long as I don't abuse it like I did last year. I want a zero turn, but they are way too expensive! I just can't get behind why they are so much.

If I had the water rights to water all my property, I would spend them money to get a tractor with a tow behind mower deck operated by the PTO. those babies are 72 inches or more and it can be used for clearing the snow, grading the driveway, discing the property and many other things.
