Advantages and disadvantages compared to PPG?

I'm no painter but I would like to try to primer Fred's floor pan.

The only primers and clear I have used in my shop in the last 5 years are from SPI. You can't beat their quality, customer service (owners cell phone number is on tech manual and available 7 days a week) and price.
