steering, Borgenson vs TCP R&P... some one set me straight?

so... several months ago I was looking at upgrading the steering on my 66, I ended up picking up the Borgeson setup at one of CJPs 20% off sales... been sitting in the parts pile since then, due to the inevitible project delays that happen. Getting very close to roller status when I'll need steering... and now second guessing my decision. Budget and non-avialability of the PS pump for the TCP originally pushed me to the borgeson, but now I'm wondering if I should bite the bullet and get the R&P so I won't be second guessing my decision for years to come...

any words of wisdom out there?

All I can say is I have the Borgeson set-up as well. Have not installed it. I spent a LONG time deciding which way to go and ended up here. Still happy with that decision today as compared to going with a full on MII set-up or simply a R&P. For me it was about originality/modification requirement and final performance. All research I did and do still supports my decision...in my mind anyway.

I bit the bullet and went with the TCP R&P. I looked at all of the options out there, and I liked the TCP over the Borgeson setup. It's a lot more pricey, but I love it.

I have the Borgeson steering. I have nothing really to compare it to other than the stock steering.. which its vastly superior to... I like the Borgeson unit.. it's very positive and isn't over boosted.

The only issue I had was with my header clearance, which you also might have with the TCP rack depending on which headers you choose.

My dad installed the Borgenson on his 66. I just drove it today. I am very impressed with it. Very tidy install and still had nice road feel. He said it cost about $1000 and took less than a day to install. Came with everything and was a true bolt on.

no motor yet but I installed the borgeson steering components last weekend, so far I like it. looks like good amount of clearance, and way less clutter compared to the stock PS unit. It'll be a few months before I know how it feels, but so far I am happy with it.

I just finished installing the borgeson in mine about a week or two ago. Very pleased with it.

Has anyone installed the TCP R&P w/power assist? Is it worth the expense of the dry sump? I am told the Borgenson is nice with coil over from TCP. Any opinions?

Amber's car has the stock harpoonamatic manual steering in it. She hates it. Are you guys talking about manual steering? If so how is the Borgeson vs the stock manual?

Is there less effort in steering the car?

Talking about power with the Borgeson conversion kit.
