Storm Damage

janschutz

Corn Hauler
Had a storm come thru about 3 weeks ago and blew several LARGE trees down. Finally got the insurance settlement and hired a tree crew to cut up 3 of the trees.

Julie said I cannot buy a lift with the settlement, but I'm using some of it to upgrade the electrical service in the maintenance barn.

This picture shows the 2 flattened sheds the best. See the size of the stump? It is 3 feet across.

The one that flatted the sheds is white oak and it is great for fire wood. The other 2 are Sweet gum and they are good for nothing. I had the tree guys cut the oak into 2 foot lengths and told the neighbors, if they want it, come get it. I hardly used any firewood last winter so I am still stocked up. Looks like there is about 3 chords of oak. The sweet gum is going into a brush pile to burn. Anyone have anymore bear heads to get rid of?
