stuck in Baltimore! **NEW PICS**

Well I need to be in Saratoga Springs this week. After long delay, my flight left Nashville. We landed in Baltimore but no gates open. Sat on Tarmac a few hours. Now, they tell me our plane has a 1 in 4 chance of leaving (faulty switch). They can't find a replacement plane, trying to fix this one (I'm sitting on it now). Should have stayed home!

At least I have friends and family in Chicago I could go visit. Even my son is at NIU about an hour drive West. But yeah it can always be worse!

They just asked if anyone on the plane can solder!
The little girl behind me is really getting on my nerves! She keeps kicking my seat and her mom is doing nothing. Argh

HEY! What's wrong with my local airports? As someone who takes well over a hundred flights a year, through just about every major airport across this country, I can tell you there are lots of places much worse to be stuck. At least in Chicago they have restaurants and services to accommodate. Try sleeping on the floor in a Newark terminal for a couple days...

I used to, but that was before 9/11. I still have my Weller butane soldering iron. I only carried on board because I did not want the baggage handlers tossing it around in my luggage. fd

You wanna see airport security go into fits? Walk in with a large, silver, briefcase full of tools. Back when I worked for Micros, working on their register systems, this was a weekly thing. I nearly got banned from Memphis Intl. The store was behind the security check, they wouldn't let me through with my tools, and the store manager was having fits because half his registers were broke. Three way screaming match insued.

Welcome to my life, 4 days a week. Mine broke this morning in Harrisburg, spent all day there. And Jake wasn't kidding about all the snow.

I travel every week, been doing this for almost 20 years. Winter always sucks but it's getting worse with all the airline cuts and security and other BS! The terrorists have won... :cry

Don't feel bad, I have been stuck here most of my life!
Seriously though, it does suck with what you have to go thru, I hate to be at someone elses mercy to get somewhere!
