Stuck on a wheel decision

So I originally was going to always use 1 type of wheel. Then when I went to order it looked like they were out of stock so I started looking at other types of wheels.

Now the originals that I liked are back in stock but I am stuck now because I had found another wheel that I liked.

These are the only choices (I'm looking at you Randy and Craig)

Both wheels are similar quality and essentially the same price at about $650 for the set. I have the MB wheels in all chrome on my 68 and they have worn well. The Boss wheels have a slight size advantage.

In MB I would be buying
17x8 4.5bs (they are out of stock on the 4.75 at this time but these would fit)
17x9.5 5.5bs

In the Boss I would be buying
17x8 4.5bs
18x9.5 5bs (I've kinda warmed to the idea of plus sizing in the rear and with this choice I can put a 26.5 inch tall tire on the rear)

Both wheels are grey centered (slightly different colors...the MB are a little darker) and both have machine lips for the dish, they look very similar with the difference mainly being chiseled looking spokes versus smoothed out, I think the MB has a slightly thicker edge lip, and screw on center cap versus a push on.

I have some that are similar to the first one on my wife's 67. They are awesome! I love the way they look. They are the edlebrock 409 series wheels.

I would get the first set!

Think curvaceous instead of angular...I like the Boss wheels better.

They both would look great. I would lean towards the mb wheel personally. But I like the edgy angular look.

FWIW , I like the MB rims.

But to have a good idea of how they look on a car ....you have to look at pictures of cars that have then mounted.

Neither for me for I'm from the very old school party. But if I had to pick one, it would be Boss.

I like the beefiness of the MB. At first glance (didn't see the name underneath) I thought they were the Edelbrocks, which I loved the look of.

back last year when I was shopping for wheels, I looked at those MB wheels but went with the boss wheels. I am very anal about details & to me, the sharper edges on the spokes fit better on a car with sharper, square lines such as a 67 chevelle. my 69 has mostly soft flowing lines so the boss wheels blended in better with the lines on the car. to me it was a small thing but lends itself to the overall finished product.

+1

That said, I like the MB wheels better simply from an appearance perspective on their own.

I have the MB wheels in chrome on my 68. (for those that don't know).

I've decided on the Boss wheels for 3 reasons (in no particular order)

1. I have the MB wheels on my 68 in Chrome
2. The Boss wheels come in 5 inch BS where the MB wheels come in 5.5....I like the idea of the even deeper dish and with the 65 width 9 inch I going to use it will make it that much easier for me.
3. The Boss wheels come in 18. I'm ordering them with tires 235 45 17 and 275 40 18

I'm not a fan of the MB's. The Boss wheels are :weas Glad to see you took my advice!

Ackkk...I was about to recommend that you buy two of each and place one set on the passenger side and the other set on the driver's side, but you already bought a set of four.
