Corn Hauler
I was taking my spare rear assembly apart this morning. I had removed the axles and I had them standing on the workbench. When I cracked open the housing, gear lube was going everywhere. I did not remember having very much lube in this housing (stupid old memory). I slipped pulling the center chunk and it fell on my right ring finger causing a gash. The axles fell down crashing onto my other hand that was trying to lift the pumpkin off my hand, causing more pain and me dropping the pumpkin back on my hand. When it was all done, I had blood and gear lube everywhere.
The doctor has glued my finger back together but said if it does not hold, he will but in a couple of stitches (but he did not want to to begin with)
Lessons Learned
Always treat something that has oil in it like it is full of it. Get a catch pan.
Do not stand up anything near your work that can fall back onto it.
