Sweater Puppies

The other day I told Moostang that I wanted to see some sweater puppies and this is what I got:

This past weekend, we picked up a 9 week old red female dobie, Penny, to terrorize our other one. I forgot how much "fun" puppies were. I can't wait until she sleeps through the entire night without waking up the whole house.

ps...you really don't want to know what I asked for when I ended up with a couple of cats!!!

Will you end up getting his ears bobbed...?

Probably won't get the ears done. Both of us like dobies with those long floppy ears.

Ear cropping / tail docking isn't meant to make the dog mean looking. There was a purpose behind it. Same reason poodles have those stupid hair cuts. LOL

People who chose to do these cosmetic procedures usually do so to adhere to the breed standards set forth by the breeds club which makes the rules for the breed and then passes it on to the AKC, UKC, CKC, etc. Now a days though, most breed clubs have changed their rules to allow natural ears and tails and do not fault the dog in the ring for having them. Which is cool. Gives the owner/breeder the option and doesn't penalize them for going natural.

I've had a bunch of Boxers. Even bred a few litters and every boxer that i had left the ears natural ended up having problems with ear infections / pain. The ones that got the ears done never had a problem.

Geeze, I'm glad I'm not YOUR son :Mark

Cute pup and nice four legged family!

I was however expecting a couple sweater puppies. You know like in cheech and Chongs up in smoke, "Wow, those look like to puppies fighting under a blanket.
