T5, rebuild?

Got this T5 from Bill. It's a WC T5 and everything looks pretty good except the 3rd gear and counter shaft.

Should I look for a "parts" trans or just the parts to fix it?

pre or post 93? i've got two of the post 93 t-5's here with the longer input. there is a fox t5 on craigslist here in mt juliet that has a bent shift fork & pops out of reverse for $175. not sure what the rebuild kits cost, but might get pricey if you have to buy gearsets/shafts etc.

the one i just put in my car may be a parts tranny with the way my luck goes. should know in a day or so...

LMK if you want to come down one day & crack the lids open on these two i have. they are supposed to be good, but you never know about stuff you pick up cheap on CL...

maybe we can go look at that other one too.

Are there any ID tags on these T5's you guys are yaking about? Craig, if your T5 WC is a T5Z (1352-249 or 251), I'd consider rebuilding it. It is rated the highest for T5's at 330 lb/ft. Those post 93 can range 265-310.

It's a 1352-246. Just a 94 5.0 V8 WC T5. gear ratios rev 3.15, 1st 3.35, 2nd 1.99, 3rd 1.33, 4th 1.00, OD 0.68
