T5z leaking out of the tailshaft...help!

So the freshly rebuilt T5z our 5.0LX project is leaking out the tailshaft. We thought it was caused by either a worn-out driveshaft yoke or a nicked tailshaft seal. As it turns out, the old yoke was pretty worn, so we bought another driveshaft with a good yoke, and replaced the tailshaft seal for good measure.

Still leaks...even leaks when it's parked. The only other obvious culprits I can think of would be the tailshaft bushing, or some sort of mess-up during the rebuild. What do y'all think?

Considering that it looked like this when we got it, I'm more than tempted to raise cain with the rebuilder:

PS: Now that I think of it, it also leaks a little out of the speedo cable hole. Heck, so did the old T5. WTF did the PO *do* to this poor car?

Does the slip yoke cause the seal to expand and fit nicely around the yoke shaft, or is it loosely fitting? On my T56, it's not overly tight but it's not loose either. With the yoke having a bit of oil on it, it will create a suction and won't want to be removed from the tailshaft without a bit of force. This means the seal is working correctly.
 
Check the yoke for a hole. Many of them have a hole in them that needs to be plugged, especially if using a C4 yoke on it.
 
Now that you mention it John, yeah there is a hole in the yoke that typically has a plug in it. Sometimes the plug can get knocked out if there isn't enough clearance during suspension movements and the output shaft hits it, as well it just flat out falling out. The plug is in the center of the yoke.

Yep, I had this exact problem. I think I knocked out the slip yoke plug when I was installing the D.S. I was trying to slid the DS onto the output shaft of the transmission and it wasn't cooperating; then, all of a sudden it finally engaged and slammed onto the output shaft. I think that blow popped out the slip yoke plug. I just took a small round metal disk and welded it onto the slip yoke hole (on the u-joint side), and it solved my leaking problems.
