Team Grabber Orange made it's presence known in this crazy town yesterday. Actually my sister in law and husband are down from Portland for the weekend. Couple weeks ago at the Oyster fest, my wife and I saw these very appropriately colored 3 wheel scooters you rent to tour around the city. They are GPS guided, telling you where to turn and what you are about to come upon as far as landmarks, etc.

Even for a local, these scooters were pretty darn fun and the weather was simply perfect being in the mid 70's.

We drove over to Fisherman's wharf to pick them up for a 2-3 hour tour which took us through some very ritzy neighborhoods, the presideo, the Golden Gate Bridge, etc.

Good lord.........I can die now, I've seen more than I needed.

I totally forgot Waldopro. Sorry. Trunk in back. Top speed is 30+ but both of our speedo's were broken. We even drove them down lombard St. Crazy Shiaaat!!

+1 on the cool idea, especially for tourists! Those would be a big hit in DC, Boston, NYC, Disney World, etc.

I just want to know how you ended up with Herbie's number on your :sbbp car. :craz

hint: click on the :sbbp

Cool stuff! I had heard the only drawback is they tend to go REAL slow or lose power on uphills. Did you find that to be the case? Or do you just avoid uphills?

By always going downhill. It's the opposite of when we used to go to school, walking uphill, barefoot in the snow, both ways.

Mid didn't realize we went to the same School.................

In the immortal words of Jack Buck......."I can't believe what I just saw!" :lol :lol :lol

and to think, you make fun of me for having a golf cart!

Well apparently #53 is the power dog. It had no problems going uphill, whereas #42 (my inlaws cart - LOL) had lots of problems climbing some hills. In fact the wife's sister had to get out of the cart and help push it up to the intersection. I quietly laughed my fricken ass off. Quietly, I said. shhhhhhh !
