I have one of the Summit (Holley-type) carbs on my 302, and I'm driving up to the Sierras for a few days this week. I'll be going from sea level up to about 4-6000 ft elevation.
I know the normal way to make the adjustment is to jet down a bit. Is it acceptable as an alternative to lean out the A/F mix a bit while I'm at the higher elevation, then adjust back once I get back to sea level?
